There are differing beliefs on this topic, but some possible reasons why there are no prophets in modern times could include the idea that the era of prophethood has ended with the finality of certain religious scriptures, or that the role of prophets has evolved into other forms of spiritual leadership. Additionally, some may argue that advancements in communication and technology have made it easier for individuals to access spiritual teachings and guidance without the need for a singular prophet. Ultimately, the absence of prophets in modern times may be attributed to a combination of historical, cultural, and theological factors. **

Distinguishing true prophets from false prophets can be challenging, as both may claim to have divine inspiration. However, one way to discern between the two is to examine the teachings and actions of the individual in relation to established spiritual principles and values. True prophets are often characterized by their humility, selflessness, and alignment with universal truths such as love, compassion, and justice. It is also important to consider the impact of their message, as true prophets often bring about positive transformation and upliftment in the lives of others. Ultimately, discerning between true and false prophets may require careful reflection, discernment, and seeking guidance from one's own spiritual beliefs and practices. **

Many religious traditions believe that prophets were sent by God to deliver specific messages to humanity during certain periods of history. Some believe that with the completion of these messages and the establishment of religious scriptures, the need for new prophets has ceased. Additionally, the role of prophets may have evolved into that of spiritual leaders, teachers, or scholars within religious communities. Some also argue that advancements in communication and technology have made it easier for individuals to access and interpret religious teachings without the need for direct divine intervention through prophets. **

Some modern prophets include Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon faith, and his successors in the leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Other modern prophets include leaders of various Christian denominations, such as Pope Francis for Catholics and the Archbishop of Canterbury for Anglicans. They may use various tools or methods to make their predictions, such as tarot cards or astrology. The key difference is that prophets are seen as having a spiritual or divine connection, while professional prophets are often viewed as entertainers or individuals offering a service for profit. **
