In 18th century France, the nobility of the sword held higher status than the nobility of the robe. The nobility of the sword were descendants of ancient feudal lords and were considered the traditional aristocracy, with privileges such as exemption from taxes and the right to hold high-ranking positions in the military and government. The nobility of the robe, on the other hand, were often wealthy commoners who purchased their titles and were seen as less prestigious than the ancient noble families. Therefore, the nobility of the sword held higher social status and power in 18th century France. **

The nobility were typically landowners and held high social status, often inheriting their wealth and position. They had access to education, political power, and luxury goods, and were exempt from many taxes and laws. In contrast, workers were often peasants or laborers who worked the land or in trades. They had little social mobility, limited access to education and political power, and often lived in poverty. The nobility had significant privileges and power, while the workers had little control over their own lives and limited opportunities for advancement. **

If you are feeling uncomfortable or unsafe due to unwanted touching from boys in your class, it is important to speak to a trusted adult or authority figure about the situation. Remember that it is never okay for someone to touch you without your consent. **

She touches me in class by gently placing her hand on my shoulder when she comes around to check on my work. Sometimes, she lightly taps my desk to get my attention or to emphasize a point during a lesson. Additionally, she occasionally gives me a reassuring pat on the back when she sees that I am struggling with a task. Overall, her touches are subtle and supportive, creating a sense of connection and encouragement in the classroom. **
